thanksgiving in Massachusetts

After my plan to go to Houston, TX got cancelled, I decided to accept my dear friend Taso's offer to spend Thanksgiving weekend with his family in Northampton, Massachusetts. We left on Wednesday evening. Following Taso's car was definitely an experience that I won't forget. The journey itself was a lot of fun. We arrived in Northampton, MA around 10 PM. There we met Bruce and Roxy for the first time. Both of them are excellent hosts. Roxy had made a very yummy dinner (Pasta and Delicious Shrimp sauce). It was out of this world. We (me and Michelle) had decided to stay at a hotel so we won't have to worry about the most demanding princess in the world. Yup, that'd be our cat Garfield. We ended up chatting late into the night. I called my hotel two times to make sure they had a room reserved as it had gotten pretty late. I was told that my reservation was guaranteed till 6.30 AM since
we had used hotels.com to make our reservation. When we finally made it to the hotel, we were told that there is no reservation in our name. Of course, I was like, WTF?. Anyways, long story short, they made us a new reservation and we finally got a room.

Next morning, the thanksgiving day, was awesome. We had a very delicious quiche made by Roxy for breakfast. Then we went over to Roxy's cousin who lives in a breathtaking Victorian house. There we had a very fun time. Later, we got formally dressed and went to Murray and Gail's house. Their family just blew us away with their hospitality. We had a lot of fun and were lucky to be invited at day after thanksgiving dinner. We decided to accept the offer and stayed another night. That day ended up being even more fun as we ended up staying till 3 AM.

Coming back, we were feeling a bit sad. But the good news is that Murray and Gail invited us again for next year. We can't wait.

Big thanks to Taso and Laura for making this all possible. I will miss him not being in NYC.
